We got there around 7pm Friday evening and stayed maybe 2.5 hours. We took a detour to the casino while in Asheville this past weekend (10/17/14). This visit was more than what we expected. Sandwiches at Boarhead deli were also very good, we thought. We ordered a large pizza and found it to be very good. The restaurants-we ate at Ruth's Chris (would not recommend) and at the food court.

There are a lot of shops you can just window-shop and walk around in. There is an indoor pool as well as outdoor. Even if you don't gamble, there is still a lot to enjoy at this property. My experience, overall was much better than what I expected. I can say this, the ones I did, most was very nice and asked if the smoke would bother me! Now that was respect. You did however, might have someone sit down next to you that smoke. I did win some and the other people in my party, did as well. The choices were very good on slot machines. I was not expecting it to be so nice and so large. The casino, I thought was extremely nice.

The resort-you should walk around inside and outside to appreciate the beauty of this property. We also saw a room in the Mountain Tower and it was a little dated but nice and had a nicer view than the others. I really like this so much better, personally. There was only a shower in the room, so we switched to another tower-Soco tower.

There was a view, somewhat of mtns, but a view of the parking lot instead. The views, well that is a different story.

If you walk around and just look at all the history-artwork, pottery, etc and all the places to just sit down and enjoy, inside and out-you will have a good and relaxing time. The hotel and casino is very clean and it is very large, from the parking to the hotel to the casino. It is a beautiful property from the grounds outside to everything inside.
